Otak-otak Ikan


500 gr fish paste

75 gr tapioca flour

75 gr granulated sugar

Salt and white pepper to taste

100 cc KARA santan cair Murni
mixed with 100 cc water

1 egg white

1 thinly sliced shallots

2 cloves garlic (paste)

5 stalks green onions (thinly sliced)

Banana leaves for wrapping and toothpicks cut in half


Mix all the ingredients until well combined. Clean banana leaves and cut rectangular about 4x8 inches. Place about 2 tsp of the fish mixture along the length of the banana leaves starting and stopping about 1 inch from the edge. Roll the mixture and secure both ends with toothpicks. Heat in a pan with a little oil or cook in a bbq grill about 3-5 min on each side.

Peanut Sauce


50 gr toasted peanuts

1 tbs sugar

1 tbs sambal badjak

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vinegar

100 cc water

To make peanut sauce, put all the ingredients together and blend or grind well. Transfer the peanut liquid into a pan and cook with low heat and stir. The sauce is ready when you start seeing the oil coming out from the peanut sauce.
